About

Looks like I’m finally starting a blog. Welcome to 2005!

At the dawn of 2001, I began what I thought would be a long, fruitful career as a sports reporter when I took my first professional job at the Orlando Sentinel. Four years later, I moved on up — and back home — to cover college sports at my hometown paper, the Detroit Free Press.

By 2011, I had left journalism.

This decade has been one of reinvention as I’ve transformed myself from being a sports reporter to a communications professional who works for a university and freelances in my spare time… which has become scarce since marrying and becoming a mother of two sweet and spirited little boys.

This blog is my attempt to combine all aspects of my life — parenting, marriage, college football, life in the Southwest Ohio ‘burbs — into one semi-coherent space. Warning… I might ramble sometimes, but hopefully, those rants will make some sense.

Welcome aboard, and enjoy the ride.
